Pinthouse Pizza and Brewery
Smell: A strong smell of chocolate and malt with a slight amount of spices.
Look: A rich and thick Porter, a dark beer and yet not the consistency of a stout.
Taste: Smooth chocolate flavours dancing over the maltiness, followed by a tingle of spices and seasonings. Reminds me of a winter beer in nature.
Mouth feel: Easy on the tounge as the flavour slowly works it’s way through the mouth. The spices used delight the senses and add a tingle in the back half.
Overall: It is a good porter, more suited for for the winter months definitely a beer I would come back to later in the year. This is a smooth and delightfully spiced Porter that I would give a 3 .1 overall.
